1. Install it
Get it from Playthrough Snapshot on Nexus Mods.
Install it with Vortex like any other mod and make sure PlaythroughSnapshot.esp is enabled. It isn't part of
the GTS collection, so the site's install check leaves it out of the plugins it lists as extra.
Everything it needs is already in base GTS 118: SKSE, Address Library, PapyrusUtil and powerofthree's Papyrus Extender. So are the two mods it reads when they're present: Pilgrim (your god) and Biggie Traits (your traits).
2. Cast Record Your Journey
- Load your save, or start a new game. The power is added every time a save loads, so existing saves get it too.
- Open Magic → Powers and equip Record Your Journey the way you'd equip a shout.
- Cast it. After a few seconds a message box says the file was written, with your level and perk count.
The file is Data\SKSE\Plugins\StorageUtilData\PlaythroughSnapshot.json inside your Skyrim Special
Edition folder. Each cast replaces it.
3. Drop it on the site
Drop the file on Your progress. Your quests, questlines and install check fill in, and the reference pages mark your god, stone and traits, and the perk trees your perks. Cast the power again whenever you want the site brought up to date.
What's in the file
- Your character: name, race, level, gold, health, magicka and stamina, carry weight, perk points, dragon souls, the in-game date.
- Every skill's level, and the perks you have in the skill trees.
- Your standing stone, god and traits; whether you're a vampire or a werewolf; your followers' names.
- How far along each quest it knows is.
- Your load order: the name of every plugin your game loaded.
It doesn't contain your saves, your inventory, your Windows user name, your hardware, or any path on your PC. Because it lists every plugin you run, have a look before you share the file with anyone.
The site reads the file in your browser and keeps it there. It's never uploaded.
